Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") apply to all jetski hire bookings made with JetSpec Jetski Hires ("JetSpec", "we", "us", or "our") and govern the use of our jetskis by the hirer ("you", "your", or "the hirer"). By hiring a jetski from JetSpec, you agree to be bound by the following terms:

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to hire a jetski.
• You must hold a valid Victorian Marine Licence & a Valid Victorian Drivers License ( P2 or Full drivers license )
• You must present your Current drivers license and Marine licence at the time of hire.

2. Bookings and Payment

• A security deposit of $1000 is required prior to hire. This may be held on your credit card.
• Full payment is due before the commencement of the hire period.
• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for a full refund and you must call us to confirm. Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a 50% cancellation fee.

3. Hire Period and Return

• Hire periods are strictly observed. Late returns will incur a fee of $100 per hour.
• Jetskis must be returned in the same condition they were hired.
• A cleaning fee of $50 may apply if the jetski is returned excessively dirty.

4. Safety and Use

• Lifejackets (PFDs) must be worn at all times.
• No towing of people or objects unless expressly approved by JetSpec.
• Operating the jetski under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
• You must obey all Maritime Safety Victoria regulations and operate within designated safe zones.
• You must not exceed the maximum passenger limit of the jetski.

5. Damage and Liability

• You are liable for any loss or damage to the jetski or equipment during your hire period.
• In the event of an accident, you must immediately notify JetSpec and relevant emergency services.
• You indemnify JetSpec against all claims, damages, or losses resulting from your use of the jetski.

6. Weather Conditions

• Hire may be cancelled or rescheduled due to unsafe weather conditions at JetSpec’s discretion.
• If cancelled due to weather, you may be offered a reschedule or full refund.

7. Security Deposit

• The deposit will be refunded within 1–5 business days after return, provided no damage, loss, or breach of terms occurred.

8. Right to Refuse Service

• JetSpec reserves the right to refuse hire to any person we believe to be unfit or incapable of safely operating the jetski.

9. Privacy

• Personal information collected will only be used for hire-related purposes and managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

• These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
